Insurance bill review

We review your home, contents, car, health, pet and travel insurance costs to help you understand whether you're paying more than you need to. We'll highlight opportunities to save, flag anything worth reviewing, and we can then, using the information you provide, obtain insurer-generated information without the hassle.

Auto-renewal without a market check

Insurance renews automatically if you don't act. Many households stay with the same insurer year after year without checking whether they're still getting a fair price. The renewal notice arrives; the direct debit goes out; nothing changes.

Premiums rise at renewal even when nothing has changed

Insurers often increase premiums at renewal as a matter of pricing policy, regardless of claims history or any change in circumstances. If you haven't queried or compared recently, you may be paying more than you were last year for the same cover.

Your cover details are out of date

A home insured at the wrong rebuild value, a car with an outdated no-claims rating, or health cover that no longer reflects everyone on the policy — outdated details can leave gaps and inflate premiums at the same time.

How SavYour helps

1

We review what you're currently covered for

We look at your policy type, renewal date, current premium, sum insured and cover details. We check whether what you have still fits your situation and whether the details on record are accurate.

2

We compare your options

We check what's available at your renewal date — new policies offering equivalent cover and whether your current insurer would offer a better price on a like-for-like basis if asked.

3

We give you the next step — you take it

That might be calling your insurer to negotiate before renewal, requesting a quote online, or updating policy details that affect your premium. We set it out clearly; you make the decision and take the action.

What we look at

  • Insurance type — home, contents, car, health, pet, travel
  • Policy number
  • Renewal date
  • Current annual premium
  • Sum insured or cover level
  • Claims history — number of claim-free years
  • For car: vehicle registration, make, model and no-claims years
  • For health: number of lives covered and current plan tier

Common questions

Is it worth switching insurer every year?+

It depends on your situation. Moving insurer every year is one approach to avoiding renewal increases, but it's not always the right one — some insurers offer a better renewal price if asked directly, particularly for customers with a good claims history. We look at both and tell you which option makes more sense for your account.

What is a "like for like" insurance comparison?+

A like-for-like comparison means comparing policies that offer the same level of cover — same excess, same inclusions, same sum insured — so you're not comparing a cheaper policy that simply covers less. We focus on like-for-like comparisons rather than cheapest available regardless of what's included.

Can you review health insurance?+

Yes. We compare health plan costs and benefits across available plans — we don't give regulated financial advice on health cover. We show you what plans are available at your current tier and what the cost and benefit differences are, so you can make an informed decision.

What information do I need to provide?+

Your current policy document or renewal notice, the type of cover, renewal date, current premium and a summary of your claims history. The more detail you provide, the more accurate the comparison. We work with whatever you have available.

Do you review pet and travel insurance?+

Yes, both are included. The approach is the same — we check your current cover, compare what's available at an equivalent level and show you the next step, whether that's moving, renegotiating or adjusting your policy.
